Henry Johnson, the owner and president
of Johnson and Company, is an irrigation specialist. His interest began
while working for a company in South Carolina that designed municipal water
and sewer systems. He attended Western Carolina University and later attended
courses at the University of South Carolina while working for an irrigation
company in Davie County, North Carolina.
Davie County is where Henry grew up and decided that this was the place
to start his lifelong dream of providing the service and products that
were in demand in the irrigation business.
Today, he spends most of his time designing irrigation systems that supply
the much needed water to farms, vineyards, golf courses, estates, and
residential areas that need a steady supply to keep crops, plants, and
lawns green and healthy.
"I really don't think I could do anything else", he once said
in an interview with a newspaper reporter.
His most memorable design was for a village in Kenya. A year later, he
was told by a missionary who requested the design that the system was
still working very well. |
